ADOPT A CAT INC.

SAVING THE WORLD...ONE CAT AT A TIME

We're a non-profit, no kill Cat Sanctuary.

Founded in 1994 by Dr. Beverly Harper PhD, MPH who had a vision of a safe place for the forgotten cats of Houston to rest their weary paws and wait for their destined people to find them and take them home.

OUR INTAKES ARE CLOSED

March 7, 2024

We want to remind everyone that we are NOT accepting any cats or kittens into the shelter at this time.
If we are suddenly overwhelmed with new cats we will not be able to support them, and that is not in the best interest of the cats or the caring people who are trying to help by wanting to bring them to us.

Our adoption fee for all cats is $95.

We accept Cash, Checks, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App. And of course you get their medical file (if available) for your vet records. All of our friendly felines are indoor only and can't wait to meet you! (When coming to adopt it's important to bring a carrier to take your new best friend home in.)

Black and White Kitten

As you can imagine, being a non-profit has it's own issues. We are always in need of volunteers, donations, fosters, or just about any help we can receive. We are always grateful for any donation and have even had the opportunity to do a fundraiser with the help of the local Girl Scout troupe!

Please consider supporting our cause by making a donation. Just know, that every cent raised will help us continue saving cats in the community.

Please feel free to take a look at our wish lists.
